Bill Edens, PhD, MSM

Dr. Edens received a BS in Chemistry from Loras College, his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and his MS in Management of Technology (MBA equivalent) from the Georgia Institute of technology. Dr. Edens is the CEO of Stheno Corporation and has over 12 years experience in biomedical/life-science research & development working in both academic and startup business environments.

Phillip Gibbs, PhD

Dr. Gibbs received his BS in Chemical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Houston. Dr. Gibbs serves as Stheno’s CSO and has over 13 years experience in biotechnology/life-science research & development including work as a group leader at the startup firm Energy Biosystems Corporation (later ENCHIRA).

Andreas Bommarius, PhD

Dr. Bommarius received his PhD in Biomolecular Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and recently joined the faculty at the Georgia Institute of Technology after working for over a decade in industrial biocatalysis at the chemical manufacturing giant Degussa. Rick Trebino, PhD

Dr. Trebino received his PhD in Physics from Stanford and currently acts as the Georgia Research Alliance Eminent Scholar Chair of Ultrafast Optical Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he develops ultrafast technology with applications to telecommunications and biotechnology.
